Resort-Style Lakehouse Vacation on Table Rock Lake

If you’re seeking a tranquil family getaway without the hassle of flying, consider Table Rock Lake, located within driving distance of many states. Situated in southwestern Missouri, Table Rock Lake boasts over 800 miles of picturesque shoreline.

For our late summer family retreat, we discovered Serenity Shores, a charming resort offering stunning vistas overlooking Table Rock Lake. With 22 single-family homes ranging from 5 to 7 bedrooms, Serenity Shores provides a resort-like ambiance with all the comforts of a lakehouse. The resort features fantastic amenities such as pools, a splash pad, slides, playgrounds, and games for children, all amidst secluded, breathtaking lake views.

Accommodation

Our stay in the Harmony Ridge house was delightful, providing ample space for our large, extended family of 8 adults and 4 children. Spread across three floors, the house offered spacious living areas and a well-equipped kitchen stocked with all the essentials, including two refrigerators. The washer and dryer came in handy, especially for drying wet swimsuits after days at the pool. Additionally, the screened-in portion of the back deck ensured bug-free relaxation.

Boat Rentals

Table Rock Lake offers complimentary paddle boats and kayaks, with pontoon boats available for day rentals. Children particularly enjoyed the trampoline located near the boats. Access to the boats involves navigating through the woods down a hill, which may pose challenges for individuals with mobility issues. On days when renting a pontoon boat, the local marina is nearby, where you can arrange to pick up family members who are unable to navigate down the hill. Our family cherished our time on the expansive lake, especially the kids who loved tubing behind the boat.

Pools and Splash Pad

The resort's main pool, featuring a waterslide and lazy river, became our daily retreat. Adjacent to the pool, the splash pad provided entertainment for the younger children, while the fenced-in area ensured safety. We appreciated the option to bring our own food and beverages to the pool, enhancing our relaxation experience. The secondary pool, designed more for adults, offered a serene setting with a stunning infinity edge overlooking the lake, complete with hot tubs in both pools.

Activities and Amenities

Serenity Shores offers a plethora of activities to keep families entertained throughout the week, including s'mores over the fire, shuffleboard, bocce ball, mini-golf, and kayaking on the lake. With everything provided for a week of family fun, Serenity Shores excels in creating an idyllic vacation spot for families to create cherished memories.
